Perhaps it was aged 9, when I made my own magazine, complete with ‘free gift with purchase’ pilfered from my mother’s make-up collection. 

Or perhaps it was aged 12, when I attempted to create my own dictionary. Illustrated, no less.

Although it’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with words, they’ve been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. 

With 20 years’ experience as a journalist – 13 spent in the high-octane world of live television – story-telling has become not just a passion, but a way of life.
